The National Telecommunications Agency (ANAC) will distribute a manual to teachers and parents on the safe and responsible use of the Internet by children.

The manual, which is in the process of being concluded, will contain tips on how to take maximum advantage of the Internet. Distribution is expected to begin in a matter of days, according to the ANAC.

In addition, the agency will organize a series of lectures during the next academic year on Internet access for children with the same target audience: teachers, parents and legal guardians.

The two initiatives were announced within the framework of World Telecommunications and Information Society Day, which was celebrated on May 17 with the theme "Protecting children in cyberspace."
