State investment and tourist promotion agency Cabo Verde Investimentos is joining forces with the country’s two chambers of commerce to hold an event aimed at promoting Cape Verde’s economy in France. A total of 15 projects will be selected to promote Cape Verde in the European country.

Cabo Verde Investimentos is in charge of selecting the 15 projects to be promoted in France during the event, which will take place alongside the 2011 Paris International Trade Fair in late April.

“The priority sectors for promotion are renewable energies, the recycling of solid waste, agricultural transformation and ecotourism,” informs Cabo Verde Investimentos.

The Paris mission will last for one week, three days of which will be dedicated to the event aimed at promoting the economy, the presentation of business opportunities in Cape Verde and to the promotion of partnerships with French businesses and private sector support institutions.

Cape Verde will have a 15-square-meter stand at the fair to support its promotional campaign.

Cape Verde’s participation in the event is being supported by the French Embassy in Praia and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.
