| Cape Verde drops to 111th position in FIFA ranking | ||||

The International Soccer Federation, FIFA, released its March ranking of the worlds national soccer selections this week. Cape Verde dropped three slots on the list, and now occupies 111th position, with 301 points, immediately behind Benin. Argentina remains at the top of the list, followed by Brazil and Italy, the champion of the last World Cup. The only alteration at the head of the ranking was an exchange in the positions of Scotland and Ghana, which are now in 14th and 15th position, respectively, the opposite of last month. The highlight was Guyana, which rose 19 positions to 113th place. Cuba dropped 24 spots to 112th. |
