| Halcyonair begins flying to São Nicolau and increases number of flights to Fogo and Boa Vista | ||||

Privately-owned Cape Verdean company Halcyon Airways will begin operating flights to the island of São Nicolau this week, offering three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The airline will also increase the number of flights it operates to the islands of Boa Vista and Fogo. Boa Vista will have six weekly flights, operating every day except Tuesday, while Fogo will now have four flights a week, operating on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The flights to São Nicolau will be operated by a LET 410 aircraft with a 17-passenger capacity. Halcyonair Cabo Verde Airways began operating on July 31, 2008, with daily flights between the islands of Sal, São Vicente and Santiago. Its flights to Boa Vista began on August 13 of last year, with the company initially offering three weekly flights. |
